Kontiki Sponsors Police IDC

For the fourth year running Kontiki Finance has once again come on board to sponsor the Fiji Police Interdistrict Soccer Tournament.

Handing over the cheque of over $6,000 was Kontiki Finance Managing Public Sector Mr Alifereti Kikau to the Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Itendra Nair.

A/DCP Nair thanked Kontiki Finance for their continuous support particularly at a difficult economic time brought about by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

He also stated that the zero tolerance on drugs will be adopted during the 2020 Tournament whereby players will be tested in accordance with the focus on fighting the war on drugs.

"We will conduct drug tests on all players because we need to be leading by example in the efforts to combat drugs and have a clean tournament this year".

Kontiki's Mr Kikau said they looked forward to a great tournament and supporting the Fiji Police Force was a small token of appreciation for all the work done in maintaining safety and security.

The Police Special Response Team are defending Champions.

The tournament will be held on the 16th to the 18th of September.
