First female officer to graduate from Sespimmen Staff College


Inspector Alumita Rokobiau has successfully completed her studies at the Indonesian Police Middle Staff and Command Course at the Sespimmen Staff College in Indonesia, a first for Fiji Police women officers.


The course is designed to enhance leadership capabilities among senior police officers, particularly in the area of command and control, management, strategic plan of a police organisation, budgeting, as well as creating a platform for sharing skills, best practices and knowledge to combat the ever-changing threats in future policing.

IP Rokobiau had to first complete the mandatory language course, before moving onto the next phase of learning.

IP Rokobiau was nominated to attend the senior leadership training in accordance with the organisation’s succession planning, and based on her managerial roles backed by her more than 20-years of policing experience.

IP Rokobiau who hails from Serea Village in Naitasiri is appreciative of the opportunity to have broadened her knowledge of global policing, engaging and networking with security officials from around the world.
