Two men earlier charged and produced in court for an aggravated robbery case in Raiwaqa, have again been charged in relation to a similar case in Samabula.
For the first case, the two men in their 20s are alleged to have on the night of the 19th of June 2025, robbed a 15-year old student of her mobile phone and cash. They were arrested by the Southern Division task force, charged, and produced in the Suva Magistrates Court last week.
The two were remanded into police custody, as investigations were ongoing in relation to other cases.
Upon further enquiries, the two were again charged in relation to a second incident which took place also on the 19th of June 2025, where they had allegedly threatened a 35-year old man in Samabula and stole assorted items.
Investigators managed to recover all the stolen items, and the two have been charged with one count of aggravated robbery each, and will be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court today in relation to the second case.
