A 25 year old in police custody for stolen car

A 25-year-old car wash attendant of Narere is in Police custody after he was caught last night driving a stolen taxi.

On Friday morning, a 42- year-old man brought his taxi to the Narere Carwash for it to be clean.

He left his vehicle at the car wash to run errands, and when he returned, his taxi was missing.

The matter was then reported at Nasinu Police Station, and the report was communicated through all Police Stations.

Last night, the vehicle was seized, and the driver was arrested at the road block site at Lomolomo Community Post in Lautoka.

The 25-year-old has been escorted back to Suva this morning and handed over to the Nasinu Police personnel.

Investigation into the incident continues.
