JICA offers assistance

The Japan International Cooperation Agency [JICA] has again expressed its interest in assisting the Fiji Police Force through training opportunities in various areas of expertise.

Speaking on JICA's behalf, Resident Representative Ono Yukan advised the Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu and senior officers of their priority training areas such as the Basis for Economic Growth, Climate Change, Environment as well as Improvement of Quality Social Services.

Senior Police officers have undergone overseas trainings facilitated by JICA in specialized areas of Investigation to Community Policing.

The Acting Commissioner of Police acknowledged JICA’s support towards the organization and re-assured the organization's commitment in terms of security.
