Courtesy visit by the new AFP Senior Officer to CP


The new Australian Federal Police (AFP) Senior Officer Suva, Detective Superintendent Grant Liddy today paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew.

While adjusting to his new role, he looks forward to continuing the partnership between the two Police Organization and ready to take on new challenges.

Fiji Police Acting Commissioner acknowledged the support rendered by AFP over the past years. “I thank you for the support you have been providing to us in terms of training and capabilities.

In Policing, our main common enemy is crime, and we need to work together. We cannot work in isolation,” said Mr Chew.

He said that the Criminal World is evolving, and partnership will be the way forward. Digital Forensics will be an area that the Fiji Police Force will be keen to explore with the assistance of AFP. “

Once the criminal world partners, we as Police Officers need to partner to minimize these organize crime.” The Acting Commissioner has assured that Fiji Police Force will continue to support the partnership with the Australian Federal Police.
