Australian Federal Police Cyber Safety Pasifika Roadshow


From the joint Fiji Police Force and Australian Federal Police Cyber Safety Pasifika Roadshow conducting awareness on issues associated with cybercrime and its impact on our communities; From Monday the team visited St Agnes Primary School, Suva Grammar School, Ratu Simione Matanitobua College, Swami Vivekananda College and Lautoka Central College.

The awareness team also conducted sessions with various community and youth groups. Thank you also to the International Organization for Migration (IOM Fiji) for supporting the joint efforts, noting also the increase in cyber related crimes in trafficking in persons.

Fiji Police Force Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu said he appreciated the efforts by Cyber Safety Pasifika in the delivery of the awareness programs, adding the best preventative measures was through education and empowerment.

The awareness sessions designed to be interactive gave Police officers the opportunity to understand issues faced by students and youths as they openly discussed cyber-related concerns.

The Fiji Police Force wishes to thank its partners, schools, communities and everyone who had supported the week long event.

Cyber Safety Pasifika (CSP) is a Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police(PICP) Programme which is managed and facilitated by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) in conjunction with strategic partners to deliver cybercrime training across the Pacific region utilising a “by the Pacific, for the Pacific” approach.
