Project Blue Pacific closing


Regional efforts of strengthening collaboration through INTERPOL HQs vast global networks under the Project Blue Pacific gained momentum, following the completion of a two week training attended by National Central Bureau representatives from 11 member countries.

Held at the Nadi Police Station, the training was closed by the Deputy Divisional Police Commander West (DDPC/W) Superintendent of Police (SP) Aisake Kafoa who thanked the INTERPOL trainers as well at the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police for bringing together the NCB officials, boosting collective responses to security threats within the region. “The Pacific region is experiencing an unprecedented level of support towards law enforcement, noting the threats of transnational crime.

INTERPOL’s Project Blue Pacific is one such initiative that is envisaged to assist the region, and it is therefore imperative that we utilize this opportunity”. “Share your experiences and learnings with your comrades, we all need to be on the same page”.

Project Blue Pacific supported by the Australian Federal Police, New Zealand Police and the United Kingdom Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office/National Crime Agency aims to support the participating national police organizations to use INTERPOL resources in a sustainable way for increased information sharing.

It will achieve this through capacity building and training interventions.
