Investigators Empowerment workshop

The Investigators Empowerment and Constable Qualifying Courses workshop for officers based in the Southern and Central Policing Divisions held last week at the Fiji Police Academy, was closed with the reminder of the importance of education and learning.

The Director Training and Education, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Serupepeli Neiko whilst addressing the participants said policing required continuous learning noting the evolving criminal landscape. SSP Neiko said the five day empowerment workshop was also an opportunity to exchange ideas between officers and Academy staff.

“You are here to learn from us, you are also here so we can learn from you. We want to know what you face every day out there in the field and how best we can adjust our training".

The workshops were aimed at empowering officers who are the front-line of investigations from the Uniform Branch, Traffic and Crime Units, as well as enhancing knowledge of Policing for those who have undergone the On The Job Training.
