COMMUNITY POST OFFICERS WORKSHOP
The Director Community Policing Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Salanieta Radaniva this morning officiated the Community Post Officers Workshop at the Fiji Police Academy.
The workshop consists of 36 officers from the Southern Division who will undergo a week of training.
SSP Radaniva reminded the participants that crime is a community problem and not just Police.
She urged that Community Policing needs to understand the problem and identify solutions to it.
"Our focus is only centered on reactive policing and a little is done on pro-active Policing.
Our job is to implement pro-active ways to solve the problems in communities," said SSP Radaniva.
