World Cancer Day

Good morning team Fiji! Tomorrow, the global cancer community commemorates World Cancer Day with "Close the care gap", being the theme along with their call to unite our voices and take action.

This morning, the Fiji Police Force Operations Division joined forces to Commemorate World Cancer Day with stakeholders.

Community Policing, Fiji Police Band, K9 Unit, Water Police, Tourist Police Unit and Crime Stoppers are the department under the Operations Division which took part in today's morning walk event to commemorate the fight against Cancer.

The most common contributing factors for cancer is associated with non-communicable diseases which are

 • Tobacco use

• Low fruit and vegetable intake

• Harmful use of alcohol

•Lack of physical activity The Fiji Police Force would like to wish everyone a meaningful World Cancer Day.
