UN PRE-DEPLOYMENT GRADUATION

Forty Officers completed their four weeks United Nations Pre-Deployment Training last night.

Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew acknowledged their efforts. “I know that the excitement is building in anticipation of when you will get the call.

In the meantime, I ask that you put to use the knowledge gained here at home.

The positives about policing is that it is universal so the principles are applicable globally,” said Mr Chew.

He urged all participants to continue to be humble and emphatic in the way their do their business.

He also urged them to continue to be professional and to do the basics right.

He reminded them that while in the UN Mission areas, they will be the brand ambassador for the country and the Fiji Police Force.

“There are many reasons as to why Fiji continues to invest in its peacekeeping operations, in terms of diplomacy and foreign affairs, not to mention the promotional exposure factor for Fiji”.
