Duavata partnerships through sports

Nabouwalu Police Rugby and netball teams consisting of Police officers and civilian players received their new set of sport uninforms yesterday with a reminder from the Assistant Commissioner of Police Planning, Research and Doctrines (ACP) Aporosa Lutunauga to use every opportunity through sports to strengthen community – police relations.

The uniforms carry the message of 'Crime prevention is everyone’s business', and ACP Lutunauga stressed the need to promote partnerships through sports.

"Let it be the vehicle of transformation in promoting safety and security whenever you wear it".

Sports is one of the pillars used by Duavata Community Policing, capitalizing on the power of sports in unifying and bringing people together.

Police are represented in various sports throughout the five policing divisions, as a means of engagement on a less formal setting where partnerships are encouraged for safer communities.
