K9 on Patrol

If you were travelling along or anywhere near Queen Elizabeth Drive in Suva earlier today, you would have seen our newest K9 recruits, generously supplied by the New Zealand High Commission, Suva, Fiji and New Zealand Police.

The K9s were handed over to the Fiji Police last week during the opening of the new Police Dog Unit Kennels in Suva.

Today they were out with their Police handlers acclimatizing to Fiji's hot weather.

The officers were accompanied by Inspector Todd Southall the National Manager for the New Zealand Police Dog Section and Senior Advisor Wally Kopae the Fiji Police Partnership Programme General Patrol Dogs specialist.
