Narcotics Detector Training Course Graduation

A true reflection of Pacific Policing partnerships in Our Blue Pacific, a member of the Fiji Detector DogĀ  Unit (FDDU) was part of the New Zealand Police Dog Section Training Instructor Cadre that assisted with a 9-week Narcotic Detector Training Course in Trentham, Wellington.

Congratulations to our fellow partners in law enforcement from the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service, Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services, Tonga Customs, who graduated from the Training.

It was an honour to have Fiji Police Sergeant Sailosi Kuruvakadua who is based at the Western Division Fiji Detector Dog Unit be one of the dog training instructors alongside fellow regional law enforcement officers.

The course is part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade supported Pacific Detector Dog Programme (PDDP) with New Zealand Police and New Zealand Customs, to help train and build dog section capacity and capability with agencies in Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and the Cook Islands.
