NZ POLICE COMMANDANT VISIT FPA

The New Zealand Police College Commandant, Superintendent of Police (SP) Warwick Morehu visited the Fiji Police Academy ( FPA) facility on Wednesday morning.

Addressing the new recruits, SP Morehu thanked them for the wonderful display of discipline and the sacrifices made in order to become a Police Officer.

SP Morehu during his visit around the Nasova facilities said the NZ Police College is similar to the FPA and he is glad that Fiji is setting a standard in its Police Training in the region.

He also took time out to meet and thanked the regional recruits from the Nauru Police Force and Tuvalu police service for their commitment to the policing profession as being away from home was hard but reminded them of the benefits of completing their training.

SP Morehu had the opportunity to meet the Fiji Police Band followed by a quick stop at the Fiji Police Forensic Office.

After the tour he was accorded a Tradition Fijian welcome by the Fiji Police Academy Staff as it was his first official visit to the Academy.

SP Morehu said he felt at home because of the cultural similarities between the two nations and said he looked forward to further discussions with the team with regards to training cooperation.
