FPF/NZ Police to expand cooperation through sports

Talks for an annual Police rugby league match between the Fiji Police Force and the New Zealand Police was held earlier this week.

New Zealand Police Senior Sgt Smith in his capacity as the Chairman of the New Zealand Fijian Rugby League Association (NZFRL) met with the Fiji National Rugby League Chairman Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Aporosa Lutunauga at the Fiji Police Headquarters, where discussions on the proposed tournament was held with the Fiji Police Sharks League President Superintendent of Police (SP) Pauliasi Colamoto.

The proposed partnership through sports initiative will be another dimension to police cooperation efforts between the two organisations.

The initiative aims not only to foster greater working relations between the two police organisations but a greater appreciation of the challenges confronting policing in the region.
