Drugs Awareness Workshop for Northern Officers

The illicit drug trade can only be effectively addressed through collaboration between Police and the community.

It was great therefore to have Mr Satish Kumar, the Chairman of the Northern Division Crime Prevention Committee close the two day Proactive Narcotics Workshop yesterday in Labasa.

The workshop was facilitated by the Manager for Narcotics Bureau, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Reshmi Singh and attendeby by 70 police officers.

The intent of the workshop is to empower the officer's knowledge on Narcotics awareness so as to have an impact during awareness sessions when out in their communities.
