Funeral of Late Constable Niumaiwai


The Fiji Police Force yesterday paid its final tribute to Police Constable (PC) Naibuka Niumaiwai.

Navisabasaba Village in Nadroga had gathered in silence, to farewell one of their favorite son.

PC Niumaiwai joined the Fiji Police Force as a Special Constable in 1998 and had served in Sigatoka ever since.

He was absorbed into the Regular Constabulary in 2020 and underwent his Basic Recruit Course at the Fiji Police Academy.

PC Niumaiwai was well known by members of the community around Vatudradra Community Post and Natadola Area, as a great community officer.

“I am grateful that he was an officer that had the heart to serve the community, he would never say No to any assignment,” said the Officer In Charge of Sigatoka Policing District ( OCPD/Sigatoka), Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Silio Finau “.

He was loyal to his calling and kept serving his community until his dying breath."

The late PC Niumaiwai was 45 years old and he is survived by his wife, Asinate Vimusumusu and their three children.
