Community Policing Managers reminded of their roles towards combating crime

Community Policing Managers were today reminded of their important roles in bridging the gap between the Fiji Police Force and members of the community in order to create a strong working partnership towards combatting crime.

The message was relayed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu to senior Divisional Community Managers during the first Community Policing Management meeting for 2020 at Headquarters this morning.

DCP Tudravu said a critical arm of policing in any jurisdiction is Community Policing and as Managers they had a major role to play in the proactive role of policing.

He urged those in attendance to get back to the drawing board and look at innovative ways of reaching out to their communities.

The meeting ends this afternoon.
