14 year old child had died in motor vehicle accident

A 14 year old child had died as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Nabua yesterday.

The victim was bumped by a vehicle allegedly driven by a 54 year old man.

It is alleged the 54-year old suspect lost control of his vehicle whereby it hit the side of a bus. As a result his vehicle bumped the student who was waiting at the traffic lights to cross.

The child was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where he received medical treatment, but unfortunately later passed away as a result of the injuries sustained.

Investigations continue.
