Illicit Drugs Awareness

Police officers continue to visit schools in a bid to educate and empower children of the devastating consequences of the illicit drug trade as part of the week-long International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

The young generation are at risk of getting caught in the vicious cycle if we do not provide them with the right knowledge and information on the impacts of the illicit drug trade.

In accordance with the theme, Understanding and Sharing Facts on Drugs, Save Lives, #duavatacommunitypolicing activities this week throughout Fiji is focused on helping students understand the facts to protect them from making regrettable decisions that will impact their education and lives.

We reiterate our call to parents, guardians and communities to assist us in ensuring a drug free society for our children.
