International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking

Police Officers are engaged this week conducting school visitations as part of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking.

The World Drug Day is marked annually on the 26th of June to strengthen efforts and cooperation in achieving a world free of drug abuse.

Engaging with students on the importance of the theme, “Understanding and Sharing Facts on Drugs, Saves Lives”, to combat misinformation by sharing real facts on the harmful and devastating consequences of drugs.

We do hope parents and guardians will continue to educate and empower their children at home, reinforcing the message that there are real consequences with anything associated with the illicit drug trade.
