27 year old farmer in custody for possession of illicit drugs

A 27 year old farmer is currently in custody for allegedly being in possession of illicit drugs believed to be marijuana.

The Southern Division Drugs Team following a tip off yesterday led to the raid of a house belongs to the farmer at Sukanaivalu Road in Delainabua.

In the process the team found a bag containing 20 parcels of dried leaves believed to be marijuana and another bag with cash more than $5000.

The suspect is in custody awaiting drug analysis report.
