Two Fire Incidents

Police and National Fire Authority Officers attended to two reports of fire in Taveuni early this morning.

The first report received was of a fire at the Assistant Roko Tui Cakaudrove’s Office.

Firefighters and community members managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.

In the second case a home at Drekeniwai Settlement was completely destroyed.

The family managed to escape unharmed however their home was completely destroyed.

Investigations into both cases continue.
