The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Country Director Mr Kapche Ra handed over Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu in support of ongoing policing operations.
The donation of PPE’s included 2000 reusable masks and 1000 disposable surgical masks to be distributed to members of the Fiji Police Force.
The Acting Commissioner in thanking Mr Ra said the donation of PPE’s was truly appreciated as officers are vulnerable as frontline workers and all assistance that goes towards offering a greater sense of protection is truly appreciated by the organization.
KOICA Country Director Mr Ra said the donation was their gesture of gratitude for the work conducted by the Fiji Police Force with current containment efforts.
Mr Ra said they looked forward to increasing cooperation programs in specific areas of policing.
KOICA is a government-funded grant aid and development organization to developing countries, and was established in April 1991.
