Public Health Infringement Notice


Sixty-seven people were issued Public Health Infringement Notices over the last 24-hour period for failing to wear a mask in a public place.

It is unfortunate that there are still many that take these life saving health measures lightly and by doing so are putting their lives and the lives of their loved ones at risk.

The Central Division recorded 27 cases, Eastern Division 12, Southern Division 10 and West 7.

Officers from the Police Special Response Unit whilst issued 11 PHINs for failure to wear a mask in a public place.

Infringement Notices for social gathering were issued in the Western and Southern Division.

Four notices were issued in the Southern Division and three in the West.

Two Public Service Vehicle Drivers were issued PHINs for failure to comply with the Ministry of Health 50?pacity guidelines.

Fijians are reminded that masks must be worn at all times when in a public place.
