The Tavua Duavata Crime Prevention Committee has decided to utilize funds set aside for community programs as an incentive to get more people living in the Tavua/Vatukoula area vaccinated in a bid to protect community members from the virus.
The Committee has put aside $500 and anyone who has received their vaccination at any of the vaccination sites in the area is eligible to win a $100 shopping voucher.
Duavata Crime Committee Chair Mr Rajendra Raglu presented the first $100 voucher to Pastor Penisoni Waqaniliva of Matacawa Tagitagi.
The initiative will run for 5 weeks.
The initiative is being supported by the Ministry of Health and Tavua Police.
