Courtesy Call

The incoming Japan International Cooperation Agency [JICA] Resident Representative Ms Mayumi Amaike paid a courtesy call on the Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu at the Police Headquarter this week.

Ms. Amaike was accompanied by the outgoing resident representative Ms Yukari Ono who also paid a courtesy farewell call to the Acting Commissioner.

Ms. Ono acknowledged the security support rendered to her during her term here and is confident that the same will be rendered to the new JICA Resident Representative.

JICA works in collaboration with the Fiji Police Force through Capacity Building programs targeting various sectors of Government.

Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu reiterated our commitment in ensuring the safety and security of JICA Volunteers posted to Fiji noting JICA's notable contribution to the economic and social development of Fiji and thanked JICA for their commitment over the years.

"JICA's presence in Fiji for the past 30 years is a testament of your commitment to Fiji and we thank you sincerely for that".
