Basic Prosecution Course for investigators


Forty-Five officers who are investigators are undergoing the six-week Basic Prosecution Course at the Government Training Centre facilitated by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution.

The Director of Public Prosecution Mr. Christopher Pryde while launching the course this morning highlighted the importance of their role as Investigators in bringing offenses to justice.

According to Mr. Pryde, the course will broaden and enhance participant’s knowledge in better evidence gathering, investigating techniques which will lead to a better presentation of evidence in court.

“We urge investigators to consult with our office if in need of assistance and advisories for the betterment of our justice system". Mr. Pryde added.

The training is a mixture of theory and practical exercises.
