The Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu while presenting the Certificates of Commendation and monetary reward at the Valelevu Police Station yesterday witnessed by senior officers applauded the two’s efforts.

“Vinaka vakalevu for the courage and for being great examples for the younger generation and as I normally say combating illegal activities is not the sole responsibility of Police but everyone has a role to play and you two have certainly demonstrated that through your brave actions”.

18-year-old Nasinu Secondary School student Civoniceva said their upbringing and being the sons of a Police officer taught them the importance of standing up to wrongdoings.

He hoped that their actions will help send a message to criminal elements that they will not be able to strike because people nowadays want to leave in a peaceful and crime-free country.

“Am requesting all Fijians to please help Police in preventing crimes around the country, if you have seen or witness illegal activities, seek help and report to your nearest station”.
