Opening of Basic Recruits Course

Hundred Thirty Seven (137)new Police recruits have been reminded of their role which is to serve by the Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu.

Mr Tudravu made these remarks during the opening of this year’s first Basic Recruit Course, at the Fiji Police Academy this morning.

The new recruits were reminded that being a Police Officer requires personal sacrifice, determination, self-discipline and most importantly a heart to serve others.

“Times are not easy and now that you have secured employment in these challenging times- don't be foolish by doing something where you risk losing your job”, said Mr Tudravu.

The new recruits were reminded to have pride in the values and ethics of policing as they set to undergo four months of Police Basic Recruit Training.
