Mr. Savenaca apprehended an a18year old boy in the Cunnigham area after he robbed a 34-year-old woman of her mobile phone yesterday afternoon.

The suspect and the victim were in the same bus and when he got off at the Rewa Dairy bus stop he grabbed the mobile phone and ran away with it.

Mr. Savenaca who was walking on the roadside chased and caught the suspect.

He handed him over to the Military Officers at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua before Police came and took him for questioning.

ACP Khan is thankful for such effort and is hoping that the public would assist Police in arresting those involved in such crimes to ensure everyone’s safety and security.

Meanwhile, a quick response by Police led to the arrest of a 52-year-old man of Vatuwaqa Housing who was allegedly trying to stab his wife inside her Flagstaff office yesterday.

Officers who were on patrol along the Raiwai area responded to a call for assistance through radiotelephone [RT] communication, managed to reach the complainant on time, and arrested the suspect.
