Customer Service Workshop Begins


The Fiji Police Force Training of trainers for Customer Service Workshop started today in all the Policing Divisions around the country.

Southern and Eastern Division training was held at the Fiji Police Academy and was officiated by the Acting Police Commissioner, Rusiate Tudravu.

This is part of the series of workshops and short training implemented by the Acting Commissioner that will be conducted during the first three months of 2021 which is focused on service delivery.

Mr. Tudravu said the Force continue to be concerned about the growing number of complaints against service and Police, reiterating the importance of serving with humility.

“This is an opportunity for us to make a difference and change perception but it's going to take a lot of work, determination, and perseverance” Participants were reminded that customer service was all about empathy and putting themselves in other's shoes as well as understanding, patience, humility, and all human virtues that they were taught from a young age.

Similar workshops were conducted in the Western Division this morning and was officially opened by the Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Itendra Nair.

DCP Nair urged Police Officers participating to have the heart for the work they do and to respect everyone that comes to their station for assistance.

“With Customer service, let's go the extra mile. Go above and beyond the call of duty.”

For the Northern Division, the Fiji Police Force Chief Administration Officer Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Juki Fong urged participants to treat the responsibility with the highest level of importance because having the right attitude towards this training will either enhance or impede their efforts.
