Superintendent of Police successfully completed Indonesia’s INP Staff College Sespimmem’s Middle Staff and Command Course

The sentiments of Superintendent of Police Kasiano Vusonilawe after successfully completing Indonesia’s INP Staff College Sespimmem’s Middle Staff and Command Course.

Vusonilawe considered himself fortunate in being one of the recipients for the training as it helped broadened his knowledge of policing while advancing his personal career.

Though it was very challenging being away from home for fourteen months, SP Vusonilawe said the passion he had for policing made being away from home somewhat bearable .

The former Acting Divisional Commander Eastern who hails from Naseyani, Sasa, Macuata began with a six months Language training at the INP Language College in Jakarta prior to the actual Middle Staff & Command Training.

Candidates from ASEANPOL member countries also attended this critical training before moving up for the Senior Staff & Command Course.

The course design and objectives specifically focus on enhancing leadership capabilities for Command & Control roles and creates platform for sharing of skills and expertise to combat at the ever changing threats in global policing consistent with the Commissioner of Police's intent on international police cooperation.

SP Kasiano is the 4th Fiji Police candidate to be trained in this Institution and he is hoping more senior officers will be given similar chances to be trained overseas.

The training exchange is consistent with the Memorandum of Understanding on security cooperation between the Indonesia National Police and the Fiji Police initially realized in 2011.

The Commissioner of Police acknowledged the kind assistance of the Indonesian National Police and the Fiji Mission in Jakarta for their support.
