Police Cadets Commissioned


Ten members of the organization were commissioned last night as Inspectorate officers after successfully completed various required courses including the Basic Recruit Course and the Constable Qualifying Course.

They are IP Jaoji Besetimoala, IP Asipeli Waqa,IP Semi Talawadua,IP Ilaitia Ratu Ramaya,IP Timoci Nakaikaso, W/IP Alisi Wainikoula,IP Apisalome Vesikula,W/IP Torika Raguru,W/IP Losana Koula and IP Apenisa Turagabeci.

Within two and half years of training as Cadet Officers they were deployed to face the real life of front line and familiarize themselves as Non Commissioned officers of nine months on the job training.

The Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho reminded the young officers that they had been given a golden opportunity to advance their policing careers at a young age and to take full advantage of the chances being offered.

“So many trainings and study opportunities are being offered by our international policing partners and institutions which you must set your selves goals on attaining". This is not the end of the road for you, it’s a new beginning and I expect to see great things from each and every one of you".

Officers were also reminded on the need to look after their health to be able to produce the demanding outputs that will be required of them as leaders.

They were also undertaking courses that are required to display high standards and performed exceptionally well in all aspects that including Academic, Physical Training, Leadership Skills and for any Breach of Disciplinary code of the organization.

The number of Cadet Officers continue to decrease as some were dropped along the way due to the non-achievement of the components of the course.

The moment they had been waiting for has finally come to an end last night with the pinnacle of their cadet training to be commissioned to the rank of Inspectors.
