Fatal Accident

A 38 -year-old farmer from Wainibuku in Nasinu is believed to be the latest road fatality.

The incident occurred after 7 pm last night along Naidiridiri road in Wainibuku.

The 33-year-old suspect while driving allegedly bumped the man who was walking along the side of the road.

He was rushed to the Nakasi Medical Centre where he was pronounced dead.

Police are again pleading with all road users whether a driver or pedestrian to be mindful of their safety.

The road death toll now stands at 39 compared to 61 for the same period last year.
