Police constable kaminieli laliqavoka recognized for his dedication and loyalty to the Fiji Police Force

The Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu earlier this week promoted Police Constable Kaminieli Laliqavoka to the rank of Corporal – in recognition of the officer's dedication and loyalty to his oath of service.

Commissioner Tudravu said Cpl Laliqavoka’s dedication to service epitomises his intent of getting the basics of policing right which in turn will assist in regaining the trust and confidence in the policing profession.

Commissioner Tudravu said he had been following with keen interest Cpl Laliqavoka’s work.

“I have seen the positive comments when anything about you is posted on social media and I followed with keen interest before coming back into the organization, so it has been on my to do list to call you in with your Divisional Police Commander South and to personally say vinaka vakalevu."

Cpl Laliqavoka's is a familiar face to those traveling along the Suva - Nausori corridor during peak hours of the morning and afternoon directing traffic, and his dedication has been praised by members of the public.

”This promotion is our way of saying thank you for your dedication and loyalty to service. The little things that we do in our line of work, when it’s done with the right intentions and with honesty, people will take notice.

The positive things said about you is a reflection of their gratitude and serves as a reminder in that when we get the basics right, we can win the trust and confidence of members of the public through our actions.”

The Commissioner of Police’s intent is to restore public trust in the organization by getting back to the basics of policing.

"I value every member of the Fiji Police Force's contribution to policing, as they diligently conduct their work out in the five policing divisions.

It's a positive reflection of the organisation's collective will to make a difference and uplift service delivery as we work towards rebuilding community/police relations and win back confidence in the policing profession."
