28-year old man has been charged for the death of his Wife

A 28-year old man has been charged for allegedly causing the death of his 25-year old wife during a domestic dispute in Lautoka.

The accused is alleged to have on Monday 28th July 2025, assaulted his wife at their home in Waiyavi during an argument, whereby he later informed a relative that the victim was lying motionless inside their room.

A post mortem was conducted whereby it was confirmed that the victim died as a result of injuries sustained from the alleged assault.

The accused has been charged with one count of murder and will be produced at the Lautoka Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 30th July 2025.
