70 year old man from Mulomulo in Nadi died in road accident

A 70 year old man from Mulomulo in Nadi is believed to be the country’s latest road fatality victim.

The victim is alleged to have suddenly crossed the road along the Nadi Back Road when he was bumped by a vehicle driven by a 43-year old man.

The victim was conveyed to the Nadi Hospital where he was unfortunately he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The driver will be brought in for questioning soon, as investigations continue.

The national road death toll currently stands at 35 compared to 32 for the same period last year.
