The 2nd Specialist Child Interviewer Course was officially opened this morning at the Fiji Police Academy by the New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji, Her Excellency Charlotte Darlow.
The course supported by the New Zealand High Commission, Suva, Fiji is aimed at building the capacity of Child Interviewing Specialists at CID Headquarters and at the divisional level.
Specialist Child Interview trainers from New Zealand will for the next few days work with officers based at the CID, Sexual Offences and Juvenile Units enhancing interviewing techniques when dealing with minors.
The course is being facilitated under the Fiji Police Partnership Programme (FPPP) supported by New Zealand Government.
