Man in his 30s dies from road accident

A man in his 30s is believed to be the country’s latest road fatality victim.

This follows an accident along the Queens Road in Korolevu last night.

The victim who was driving back to Suva with a workmate is alleged to have lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the road.

Police and National Fire Authority officers attended to the accident scene whereby the victim was rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital? but was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival.

The second victim, a man in his 20s, is admitted in stable condition. Investigations continue.

The road death toll currently stands at 4 compared to 14 for the same period last year.
