Police officers in the training cadre from various units and stations recently completed a three-day Pacific Faculty of Policing (PFP) Trainer Enhancement Program held at the Fiji Police Academy.
The training was specifically designed to enhance the delivery technique of trainers, providing a range of alternatives to traditional training methods.
The PFP is a joint initiative of the Australian Federal Police and Australian Institute of Police Management offering leadership development opportunities for those engaging in policing and public safety operational, organisational and cultural change across the pacific.
The officers were able to broaden their knowledge on how to frame topics, use alternative delivery methods, facilitate short interaction learning sessions, develop workshop ideas, and peer to peer sessions.
Officers who attended the 3-day training are responsible for the facilitation and delivery of various trainings within the organisation.
The Fiji PoliceForce appreciates the continued support of the PFP, delivering various capacity building training at all levels, from the senior executive command to junior frontline officers.
