Closing of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Course Level 3

A 2-week Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Course Level 3 was officially closed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime (ACP/C) Mesake Waqa on Friday 14th March, 2025.

ACP Waqa said "I strongly believe that this training has empowered you to be better at your supervisory roles overseeing the conduct of investigations according to process and systems," said ACP Waqa.

Forty officers holding middle manager and supervisory roles attended the two-week course focused on managing organised crime investigations and management of serious crime.

"When you leave here, you carry our hopes that you will win back the trust of the people we serve."

"This is where self development comes in. The Police Academy is not going to teach you everything. It has to come from within, to use every opportunity and avenue to empower yourselves."

ACP Waqa congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the course.

CID training delivered at the Fiji Police Academy is supported by the New Zealand Police under the New Zealand Government supported Fiji Police Partnership Programme.
