The Supervisor of the Fijian Elections Office Ana Mataiciwa today paid a courtesy call on the Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu at the Fiji Police Headquarters.
Discussions were held between the FEO and Fiji Police team on the preparations for the upcoming 2026 General Elections, security for the Local Government Elections and the review of the existing Memorandum of Understanding to include operational assistance to the Electoral Security Advisory Group’s Terms of Reference in relation to electoral security in the lead up to the elections.
The Fijian Elections Office has been working closely with theFiji Police Force through the Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Josua Vodo who was appointed the FPF’s liaison officer to the FEO.
In preparation for the upcoming 2026 General Election, meetings have been held to discuss areas of engagements and FEO activities and requirements from the Fiji Police Force.
The Supervisor of Elections congratulated the Commissioner on his appointment, acknowledging the continuous security support rendered by the Fiji Police Force.
Commissioner Tudravu assured the Supervisor and the FEO team of the Fiji Police Force’s full support with security arrangements towards the work of the Fijian Elections Office.
