Pacific Island’s Chiefs of Policing Executive Leadership Team (ELT) meeting


Fiji’s Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu recently attended his first Pacific Island’s Chiefs of Policing Executive Leadership Team (ELT) meeting held at the Pinkenba Hub, Brisbane, Australia.

According to the PICP Secretariat, discussions revolved around the new Strategic Plan for 2025 - 2029, Operating Model, the Pacific Transnational Crime Network and Pacific Policing Initiative, all of which provide a course for the journey ahead to address our region's top policing priorities.

The backdrop of the meeting venue also gave ELT members an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of various training and development capabilities available through the Australian Federal Police supported Pinkenba Hub through the Pacific Policing Initiative (PPI) as well as the Project Blue Pacific.

Commissioner Tudravu reaffirmed Fiji’s commitment to supporting police service efforts of addressing regional security interests through training and learning opportunities to address growing threats of transnational crime in the Pacific.

The Pacific Policing Initiative (PPI) is “By the Pacific, For the Pacific” representing a comprehensive effort to bolster law enforcement capabilities and ensure the safety and security of communities across the Pacific region.
