Sixty-four (64) arrests were made last night with regards to breaches of COVID-19 restrictions and while the number has decreased, social gathering is still an issue.
Forty-eight arrests made were for social gathering breach and sixteen for curfew breach.
The Southern Division recorded twenty-two (22) cases of social breach, West thirteen (13) cases, Central nine (9) and East (4).
For curfew breach, nine (9) were recorded in the Southern Division, three (3) in the West while Central and North recorded two (2) cases each.
Meanwhile, the investigation regarding the death of a Turaga Ni Koro who died after he was allegedly assaulted while trying to disperse a group who were drinking, has now been classified as murder and the suspect remains in custody.
Three others who were arrested are being processed for failure to comply with orders for allegedly breaching social gathering restrictions.
