Outgoing Embassy of Japan in Fiji Defence Attache Captain Takamitsu Sugisaki called on the Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew to convey his appreciation to the Fiji Police Force. Captain Sugisaki is returning to Japan and taking up his previous post is First Lieutenant (1st Lt.) Jumpei Kameda.

The out-going Captain thanked the Fiji Police Force for its support towards the security of Japanese nationals in Fiji now with increase in travel since the resumption of the Nadi to Narita direct flight.

Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew thanked Captain Sugisaki and the Government of Japan for the on-going support rendered to the Fiji Police Force with the provision of specialised maritime capabilities.

Acting Commissioner Chew said that Captain Sugisaki’s services will be missed and looked forward to working with First Lieutenant (1st Lt.) Jumpei Kameda.
