Hope Carnival ends Successfully

The weeklong Hope Carnival held in Lautoka this past week came to a successful end with stakeholders utilizing the platform to raise awareness and strengthen partnerships towards addressing crimes against women and children.

Organiser Taniela Toganaradau has acknowledged the support of all stakeholders which included members of the disciplined forces, non-government organisations, religious bodies, Government departments and most importantly members of the community for coming together to support the initiative.

The intent of the Carnival is to not only raise awareness and find solutions in tackling crimes against women and children, but to raise money to establish a safe shelter for women and children who are victims of crime, which will also be used as a training and rehabilitation center.

The Fiji Police Force is thankful for the opportunity to use this platform to reach out and talk about issues affecting women and children.
