The Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration West Tour Continues


The Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration Honourable Pio Tikoduadua whilst touring the Nadi and Lautoka Police Stations has directed that officers move into the new stations immediately upon completion of the construction works.

The Honourable Minister began his official tour of the Western Division at the temporary site of the Nadi Police Station whereby he acknowledged the commitment of police officers considering the condition of the temporary station facilities.

Hon. Tikodudua has directed that upon the completion of the new Nadi and Lautoka Police Stations, the officers are not to wait for the official opening ceremonies and must immediately move in to the new complexes.

He said after touring the Central, Eastern, Southern and now Western Divisions, as the Minister responsible for the Fiji Police Force, he is committed to improving the working conditions of police officers and welfare of their families.

Hon. Tikoduadua reiterated, "Government is here to assist you, to try and make your work places and work conditions better. I can only promise you my commitment to assisting the work that you do, in as much as I can within the limitations with what Government can do, in supporting your work".

The Hon. Minister had the opportunity to address officers at the Namaka, Nadi and Lautoka Police Stations and the Mulomulo Community Post.

He will complete his tour of the Western Division with a talanoa session at the Ba Police Station.
